Now that we have entered lockdown number two, there are once again limitations and restrictions on what we can do outside our homes. Therefore, it is important to find things to keep your spirits up and get those creative juices flowing to avoid the boredom blues. But lockdown life doesn’t have to be a chore. There are plenty of things to keep you occupied within your lovely luxury homes. From expanding your culinary skills, picking up a good book, taking up a new hobby to even cosying up for a movie marathon, there are many different and productive ways to pass the time.
- Movie or box set evenings
Sometimes there is nothing better than cosying up for the day/night to watch the films or series that you may have missed or those timeless classics that deserve to be watched again and again. You can decide to get the full cinema experience by turning down the lights and get some popcorn for an immersive feeling.
- Board Games
Don’t knock a good old-fashioned game night, we all know the classics such as Monopoly, Ludo, Chess, Backgammon, Battleships etc. which many of us have hidden away somewhere in a cupboard maybe. However, there are plenty out there to explore. There are also many ways to play your favourite games online, so you don’t have to venture out and can play with all your friends and family virtually.
- Get into a Good Book
You may or may not already be a bit of a book worm, but it is always a good idea to get yourself engrossed in a book. You can always start to make your way through the best sellers list. You may even find a gripping series that you find you can’t put down and start picking up the next book.
- Homing your chef skills
This second lockdown can be the perfect opportunity to try your hand at new recipes, creating culinary delights to add to your repertoire. There are so many different meals that you can cook. To start why not pick up a local cookery book online or recreate your favourite restaurant’s dishes.
- Taking up a new hobby
If you didn’t quite manage to get to that new skill that you decided to try and master during the first lockdown this year, you now have a second chance before 2020 is over.
With the night’s drawing in and the appeal of stepping outside during the cold and wet weather dwindling you may find yourself wanting to take up a new hobby. Ideas for a new a hobby can include: learning the basics of a new instrument, trying your hand at coding, learning a new language or even taking up knitting and various other arts and crafts.
