Energy efficiency

From thicker wall, floor and roof insulation to energy certificates, tree planting schemes and green energy; as a Company we don’t just talk green, we act green.

Our homes and build standards are fundamentally different and we change and develop our building practices to ensure that we are always ahead of the game.  We create homes which ultimately help you to do your bit for the environment, saving energy and saving you money.

Check our Pathfinder’s energy saving range of homes – when you see a home with this logo you can rest assured that you have a home which is at least 34% more energy efficient than the average home (built to BS3632 – the British Standards for Building Park Homes.)

We have a range of energy saving features giving an average U value (the measure of how much heat is kept inside a building) of 0.27 compared to 0.50 which is the industry’s standard.  Each energy saver home is inspected by an independent company which will provide an energy certificate and environmental statement.

Environmentally and financially, these changes help to put the money back in your pocket.

When you buy a Pathfinder home we not only commit ourselves to building your home for the future, we also commit ourselves to trying to reduce the impact our building has on that future by taking a number of steps to protect the environment.

We recycle all cardboard and plastic packaging, encourage our staff to recycle waste paper, cardboard, cans and bottles, and work closely with environmental organisations.  Our suppliers are also committed to being “green”, recycling waste, using recycled packaging and in one case, using recycled wood-pulp to create cladding!

Along with all of this we are supporting the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, by funding 495 carbonplus+ trees to help offset and reduce the carbon dioxide emissions from our annual business activity.
