In the next series of ‘A day in the life’ we catch up with our Sales Director Darren Langston & find out what it’s like to be him!
I wake up between – 6.30am Alarm goes of with KISS FM blaring away
I start my day by – Turning on the Laptop, making myself/team a brew and quick chat on how things went the day before.
I’m responsible for – Looking after 3 Sales Executives, over seeing 2 GREAT TEAM’S Sales/Meeting, working with our Group Partners (Hoburne, Shorefield Holidays, Away Resorts, etc), promoting our products to future Group Partners, Involvement in regional and national shows, meeting our customers at regional BH&HPA Meetings, plus a lot more!
The best thing about my job is – The buzz when an order is confirmed! Being in sales for over 35 years, I still get a sense of satisfaction, as all the hard work has paid off!
My favourite work memory so far is – The team sponsoring my Moon Walk in London, 26.2 miles in 6hrs 50mins (Thanks to my partner in crime Emma Budge!)
Advice I’d give to somebody getting into this industry – Just be yourself, don’t pretend to be somebody you aren’t, you’ll get found out quickly.
